We have been quiet lately- just a lot of life going on! We had a big snowstorm this last week so I got a little bit of stamping in.
I decided to clean my desk and that is really what started the stamping. I started putting all the pieces together that were sitting on my desk. Truth is…I still have a bunch of pieces on my desk.
We did make this into a card kit. The cards are 3×5 Bar 4 size.

Happy Saturday! Quick post with two birthday cards, both have candles in a square. On the first card, the background was created with alcohol inks. Create a water bath and drop alcohol inks into it, then gently lay the paper on top, quickly remove. I dry mine between paper towels but you could use old towels. They will stain though! And each result is different! It is hard to predict how the colors will look but sometimes I make a few and set aside for later use when it works with what I am working on. Hello. Thought I would let you know what I’ve been working on lately! I had a bunch of pieces on my desk and thought I’d better put them together.
A bit of an update… it does take us 7/10 business days to get orders out these days. With both Kevin and I working full time at “real jobs” making stamps becomes the side job 🤪

Here is another birthday card with four stamps. I used scissors to cut out the square with birthday wishes and the potted aloe plant has a cutting die. The background calendar paper is recycled from an old wall calendar (originally from Target). I kept it to reuse because I love the gray.

A quick card with stitching across the top. The glossy textured background paper did not work well with tape or glue because it was too smooth and so I used my sewing machine. Works perfect!

Stamped a fun birthday card this morning!
All three pieces of paper are sewn together and the white background paper is called white felt. The three squares are stamped on dull gloss paper, cut out with scissors and are glued on. The candles were colored with alcohol ink markers. Having trouble with technology now and trying to get it figured out! 😣

Happy Wednesday! We still have a lot of snow and Kevin had fun plowing. 😆 Not sure anyone else is enjoying it but it does make the house extra cozy when the fireplace is on. Good Day! I hope you are all doing well. We have had a couple snow storms already! Today was a nice slow snow that made everything messy. So Kevin spent the afternoon doing what he loves to do…plow snow.

Happy Friday! The count down to Thanksgiving has started. Only a few days left to get cards in the mail!
For this card, I used the small turkey and the cutting die on dull glossy paper after stamping the circle. Used a 1.75″ punch to cut out the circle. The white floral pattern is created with an embossing folder. We don’t have the folder for sale anymore. I think it is discontinued now but could maybe be found in a google search or any plaid/leaf/autumn pattern would be fun. The images were colored with alcohol ink markers. Links are below!

Two simple motorcycle cards for today. I recycled an old calendar (originally from Target I think) for the background. The white swatches (dull glossy) with the motorcycles are 4×2.5″ and the color swatch behind is 4.25×2.75″. Links are below!

Instead of using adhesive pop ups to add dimension to this card, I just cut out extra motorcycles from scrap paper with the cutting die and layered to pop it up slightly. In picture above, the top card has two layers and bottom has three. Can you see the difference?
Good Evening! I have been doing a bit of stamping- really just finishing up half finished projects. One of my favorite stamp is the hollyhock. It is a perfect size for A2 cards and is quick and easy to color and cut out. The bottom three cards I will add words as I need words. And I always need Belated Birthday cards. 🥴
I should be writing thank you cards for all the help I had during my 3rd and hopefully final surgery. I am still not cleared to go back to work yet so will enjoy a free more days of doing “not much”.

Happy Saturday! The to do list is never ending and it is a day full of cleaning/chores. We are not hosting the holiday this year and are looking forward to gathering at my sister’s. Wahoo! Still need to prepare food of course but less work on the day. We just need to decide what we are bringing and have it ready. It is fun to host but with the surgery, we weren’t sure how I’d be feeling. Thankfully it is behind me now and I’m so glad I didn’t push it back. White Felt Paper Link (The Paper Cut)
This is a simple Christmas card that really comes together after all the images get colored. The scene is all one stamp! To change the message on the card, the words at the bottom can be switched up. I have some in progress but didn’t get to color them yet as we decided to go to a holiday craft show at the high school for the Saturday afternoon.
To add some sparkle, I used a Nuvo Glitter Marker along the snow hills. Another option I want to do is dry embossing the words. Endless possibilities!

How cute is this pink and brown combo!? The white background piece on this card is white felt and the smaller white piece is dull gloss. The bouquet is colored with alcohol ink markers. We are slowly getting back into our regular routines post surgery. Recovery is much quicker after this, hopefully, last surgery. Still resting but there’s also much to do!
It’s almost holiday season! Thanksgiving is the holiday some of our extended family and friends can join us for and it is always a wonderful and special time together. We look forward to it every year!
For those who we are not able to get together with, we can send cards! It is not the same as being together in person but most years it is just not possible with family and friends spread all across the world.

Happy Thursday! We went back to a familiar layout and circle rose for this card (link to previous post at the bottom!). We just skipped the extra piece of color backing the front white swatch and pop up. Opting instead to put directly on the white felt background. This makes the card easier to mail. Sharing two simple cards tonight. Both stamped on dull gloss paper and colored with copic markers. The grass on the lamb card was made with marker but the set does come with a grass stamp. I just didn’t use it for this card because it would have been too much for the layout. Although I might need to try some variations and you could give me your opinions! All for now, links are below.

We thought we’d better update anyone who tried to place an order in the last day or two – We used Square process for credit cards and they suddenly quit working. We disconnected and tried to reconnect (Go Daddy told us too!) and now it doesn’t recognize our passwords. We tried calling square only to be told there is an “uncommon outage” whatever that means! We have reconnected credit cards to Go Daddy so the website is again accepting credit cards! Thanks to Lynn who called me to let me know she was having trouble! So a few quick cards I made for my son – hard to stay away from flowers!

I have been having a good time stamping since my mobility is decreased due to the belly incision not healing right. I think it’s getting better but hard to tell! I start back to work 4 hours a day today – that’s probably all my brain can take. Looking forward to getting some kind of routines going again. This card is so elegant in real life- pictures don’t tell the whole story. Happy Monday!
So I did take Kevin’s advice yesterday and didn’t “over due it” and stamped pretty much all day! I love this layout! I started with several sheets of 8.5×12 card stock and cut at 5.5” on the 11 inch side; then cut two pieces 4×5.25” and 3.75×5”. I discovered that you can’t score the paper under the circles to just cover the circles to save paper. You have to use a full 3.75×5 piece. Well, I guess you don’t have to but if you want your card to look good you need to! What I like about cutting several cards is then I can just make cards and not have to get up and cut every time. I did take two circle die cuts and cut out of the 4×5.35” paper- they did go on random – in other words I didn’t measure to get them in an exact spot. I scored the 3.75×5 all the way across- again it makes the cards even across.
Normally I would not tape these pieces together and stamp but because of the curl on the scored paper and I wanted a photo- I had to.

I wanted to flip the layout on the cards that I’ve been doing. My sister also suggested I make a frame around the square. So I did both!
I did also sprinkle some gold sparkle on it too. Again I left the square empty since I’m not sure what kind of card it will be- more than likely Sympathy.

I think I’ll go do some more stamping! I have 3 inches of my belly incision that has “wound delayed healing” which actually means a painful belly🤪 I was planning to clean bathrooms today but when Kevin left he said “don’t over due it today” so stamping it is!
I got started making sympathy cards and couldn’t stop. I also want to try this same card layout but change it up a bit today – we’ll see how the time goes. I’ve got a doctors appt so that kills a lot of the day.

Here are some directions for the layer: The layer (4×5.25”) card stock is usually the same color as the base card. score as below.
I do score twice. I score, then take a 1.5” square cutting die, and line up.
Cut out and then re-score since they get smashed in the Die Cutting machine . You could cut first and then score but I like the visual of knowing where the scores are. My score tool is just holding the paper down for picture.
I decided to leave this blank and stamp when I know what kind of card I need.
We have a gorgeous day here in Wisconsin. I feel like we’ve had a very cool summer which is probably ok since we didn’t get the pool open this year.
Last night after supper I decided to make some sympathy cards since I was down to none. Our son is a minister and he asked for some sympathy cards the other day and I only had two! He likes them simple with nothing inside so I went to work last night.
I started with this card…I had seen the layout and I wanted to try it.
The pictures don’t really do it justice but it is simple and clean. I used an old cutting fern die – I think from Making Memories. The stamp was C331 Hearfelt Sympathy Sm

Good Afternoon! I hope all are well. I’m getting better – I think! It’s been a tough road but we are moving on. We have a friend who turned 89 a few days ago – yep my card is late. Always running behind but I had some fun making him a card. I sometimes forget how much I like to stamp when I haven’t done it in a while.
